FIREARMS LICENSING REQUIREMENTS IN ITALY

It is advisable to contact beforehand the Police Station of the place where you intend to stay.

There are no specific national regulations on the activity of hunting by foreigners. However, there are regional regulations which define the charges for the foreigner who wants to hunt in Italy. First of all the hunter must:

  • Have a hunting licence valid on the national territory, which can be replaced by the declaration of the Italian consular authority issued in the country of origin of the hunter;
  • Be in possession of an insurance policy that covers hunting activities;
  • Pay national and local government license fees.
