On 5 March 2026, FACE and its members from across the Mediterranean region gathered for a FACE-MED meeting, hosted by the Federation for Hunting and Conservation – Malta (FKNK).

FACE-MED is a cooperation platform bringing together France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Malta and San Marino. This sub-group of FACE’s Membership, connected by the Mediterranean Sea, shares common values and objectives, including deeply rooted traditions and a commitment to uphold strong principles for sustainable hunting.

There was a focus on a range of files, including migratory birds, regional hunting and habitat restoration. Looking ahead, the group will aim to make significant progress in key areas such as data collection, to strengthen evidence-based decision-making and support the sustainability of hunting
