Following a long illness, it is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Christopher Graffius, Executive Director of Communications & Public Affairs at BASC and esteemed Chairman of the FACE Communication Working Group.

Deeply committed to FACE’s core missions, Christopher served for many years as the UK delegate and Vice-President on the FACE Board. He consistently provided invaluable contributions to the advancement of hunting and conservation across Europe.

He led the FACE Communication Working Group with dedication and enthusiasm. Under his guidance, the Working Group became a place of real growth, honest debate, and shared values.

Highly respected by fellow communication professionals and FACE delegates across Europe, Christopher was known for his insightful perspectives. Every conversation with him was filled with reflections and practical ideas to be put into action.

A passionate hunter who turned his vocation into his life’s work. He possessed the rare ability to engage with both high-level leadership and the grassroots of society, championing the cause of hunting promotion throughout Europe with his signature tools: logic, diplomacy, and often with great humour.

We will miss his enthusiasm and strong will!
