Game Meat Week 2025: A Successful Campaign for Sustainable Wild Food

Game Meat Week 2025 has successfully concluded, confirming its role as a strong platform to promote game meat as a healthy, local and sustainable food. From 10 to 15 November, FACE Members, national hunting associations and grassroots hunters across Europe and around the world actively joined the campaign, sharing national initiatives, local events, recipes and stories that underline the contribution of hunting to sustainable food systems and rural communities.

This campaign alone achieved an estimated reach of 1.2 million, reflecting broad visibility among the public and key stakeholders. Online engagement remained consistently positive, with thousands of interactions generated across social media channels. This high level of participation demonstrates the interest in game meat as a traceable, nature-based food and in the wider role of hunters in biodiversity friendly land management.

FACE Members and partners used the #GameMeatWeek hashtag and tagged @faceforhunters to showcase a wide range of content, from local game dishes to communications on health and sustainability. Visual storytelling and messages highlighting the benefits of wild game meat performed particularly well, especially on Instagram and TikTok, where several posts and videos generated notable peaks in reach and engagement.
