Public Affairs
The core work carried out by the Public Affairs team is to act as an 'early warning system' for its Members, both in Europe and internationally, for those issues relating directly or indirectly to sustainable hunting and wildlife management. This is accomplished through a combination of monitoring, communicating and promoting public policies that ensure the voices of hunters are heard by EU officials and policymakers.
	European Commission - FACE is recognised by the European Commission as the main stakeholder, representing Europe's hunting community, and is consulted by the relevant Directorates-General during the drafting and implementation of EU legislation dealing with, among others; hunting, wildlife management, nature conservation, firearms, wild animal health and game meat hygiene.

	European Parliament - Since 1985, FACE has provided the Secretariat for the "Sustainable Hunting, Biodiversity & Countryside Activities" Intergroup at the European Parliament. FACE works closely with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from different political groups who have a common interest in promoting wildlife conservation, sustainable hunting & fishing, and sustainable management of the countryside and its traditions.

	Council of Europe - As it has for the last 25 years, FACE has participated at the annual meeting of the Standing Committee (T-PVS) of the BERN Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats. For FACE, this Convention is a major environmental instrument for wildlife conservation and management in Europe.

	FACE Technical Groups - These working groups are made up of experts and professionals who, as focal points in each Member State, have an active interest in both the environment and hunting. Meeting regularly, these experts analyse and explain among other topics Communication strategies throughout Europe, best practices and Media strategies, or European legal judgments and rulings and their implications for hunting, anticipating and reflecting on issues of public interest.
