Finnish women hunters association creates hunting calendar

A women hunters initiative was set up in the Finish region of North Karelia in summer 2014 encouraging women and girls to hunt and to increase knowledge and appreciation of good hunting practices and culture especially by means of education.

Pohjois-Karjalan Jahtinaisetry is a women hunting association operating within the region of North Karelia in Finland organising comprehensive hunting opportunities and training for its members and women and girls planning to start hunting. To raise funds the association developed a women hunters’ wall calendar 2015 emphasising the experience of hunting and nature from a woman´s point of view. Funds raised from the sale of the calendar will be used to organise future activities of the association, among others the organization of a girls hunting camp in North Karelia in summer 2015.
