The Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation of the EU (FACE) is an international non-profit making, non governmental organisation (NGO) that has acted in the interests of over 7,000,000 European hunters since its founding in 1977. From its headquarters in the heart of Brussels, Belgium, FACE represents its Full Members, which are national hunters’ associations from 36 countries from the Member States of the European Union and other Council of Europe countries, as well as its Associate Members at the level of the European Institutions. FACE has been a member of the World Conservation Union (IUCN)
since 1987, and more recently of Wetlands International.

FACE seeks
to:
PROMOTE hunting in accordance with the principles
of sustainable use of natural resources and biodiversity conservation. Hunting is an important
component in the conservation and management of wildlife,
as well as the management, creation and restoration of habitats.
Hunting is also an important socio-economic countryside
activity which adds value to biodiversity and helps ensure
its continued conservation;
ADVOCATE the collective interests of its Members
at the level of European and international institutions
in relation to sustainable hunting, wildlife management, nature conservation,
firearms, animal health, game meat, among others, and;
CONTRIBUTE towards informing decision-makers, the
media and the public on issues by raising
awareness on initiatives that aim to promote its principles.
