POLAND & CZECH REPUBLIC: TWO FACE MEMBERS CELEBRATE 90 YEARS

FR & DE

Two FACE members, the Czech Hunting and Wildlife Conservation Association and the Polish Hunters’ Association celebrate their 90th Anniversary on April 26 2013. Both organisations hold events to celebrate their continued effort and commitment for hunting and for nature and wildlife conservation.
The main anniversary celebration of the Polish Hunters’ Association will take place on 26 April as part of the X. International Hunting, Shooting and Recreation Fair Hubertus Expo Opening in Warsaw. More events will follow throughout the year, a Hunting Culture Congress will be held on 30 August-01 September in Jachranka where various national and international participants from scientific and cultural background will gather. On 19-20 October Saint Hubert’s Day celebrations will take place in Spała in form of an outdoor event including hunting and for the following month, on 29 November, the Polish Hunters’ Association are organising a hunting music concert in the Concert Studio of the Polish Radio.
The Czech Republic and Poland are both home to an impressive variety of wildlife and are recognised for their great hunting. These two anniversaries further underline the fact that hunting associations are amongst the oldest conservation NGOs in Europe.  The Czech Hunting and Wildlife Conservation Association and the Polish Hunters’ Association can proudly look back on 90 years of advocating and nourishing these treasures and FACE highly appreciates the positive impact these two organisations also made - and make - on the European level for nearly the past two decades working within FACE.
