2nd Conference on Illegal killing, trapping and trade of wild birds

Council of Europe 2nd Conference on Illegal killing, trapping and trade of wild birds & 4th meeting of the Group of Experts on the Conservation of Birds, 29-31 May 2013, Tunis

This year, the 2nd Conference on Illegal killing, trapping and trade of wild birds and the 4th meeting of the Group of Experts on the conservation of birds will take place back-to-back in Tunis, Tunisia, with a view to assessing the major issues at stake and suggesting concrete measures aimed at halting illegal practices and ensuring adequate conservation measures. The Week on the conservation of birds is a Council of Europe contribution to the achievement of the Convention on Biological Diversity’s Aichi Target 12. FACE Senior Policy Advisor Yves Lecocq and John Swift (FACE’s Treasurer General) will be present in Tunis and follow the discussions, sharing the expertise of the European hunting community to address these illegal and unethical activities.
